South Korean importers, distributors and industrial buyers often start a sourcing project with one question: what is the lowest unit price MOQ and quotation for nitrile gloves in South Korea? The honest answer is that no responsible manufacturer can publish a single number, because the price you pay is the result of a specification and logistics package that only you can define. This article explains what actually drives that package, which reference values you can use for early planning, and what to confirm before you compare suppliers.
Why there is no single published "lowest price"
A disposable nitrile glove is not one product. It is a family of products that differ by material grade, piece weight, surface texture, cuff length, size mix, colour, box count and carton configuration. Two quotations that look comparable on a per-box basis can differ substantially once you normalise piece weight, carton gross weight and freight terms.
Because of this, Junda does not state a numeric lowest unit price unless a current approved quotation has been issued for your exact requirement. Any figure you see online without a defined SKU, quantity, packaging and destination is a starting assumption, not a quotation.
The variables that move your unit price
When you request a quotation, these are the levers that change the number:
- Material and piece weight. A lighter glove uses less compound per piece. Piece weight is measured in grams per glove and is the single largest cost driver.
- Size mix. Gloves are produced and packed by size. An order weighted toward one or two sizes behaves differently from a balanced S–XL mix.
- Box and carton configuration. Pieces per box, boxes per carton, and whether you need retail-ready artwork all affect packing cost and carton efficiency.
- Artwork and branding. Custom printing, logo plates and private-label box design add setup and per-unit cost.
- Order quantity. Larger, repeatable volumes generally improve unit economics, but the improvement depends on the specification above.
- Destination and freight terms. Whether you buy FOB, CIF or another Incoterm changes what is included in the quoted number.
- Destination-market documents. South Korea may require specific documentation depending on the product's intended use. These must be confirmed for your exact SKU and market before quotation.
Reference specifications for early planning
The values below are model-specific reference points, not universal specifications. Treat them as indicative only and confirm the exact SKU, current packing list, carton measurements, gross weight, container loading and destination-market documents before quotation or shipment.
Standard 9-inch nitrile reference
- Length: 24 cm
- Piece weight options: model-dependent 3.5 g, 5 g or 6 g
- Packing: 100 pcs/box, 10 boxes/carton
- Box: 21.5 x 11.5 x 7.5 cm
- Carton: 36.5 x 23.5 x 23.5 cm
- Indicative carton weight: about 4 kg
Heavy-duty orange diamond-texture nitrile reference
- Piece weight: 7–8 g/pc
- Packing: 50 pcs/box, 10 boxes/carton
- Box: 24 x 12.5 x 7.5 cm
- Carton: 39 x 26.5 x 25.5 cm
- Indicative carton weight: about 4.5 kg
Junda's disposable nitrile glove range is mainly 9-inch, with 12-inch programs available. Project packs including 100 pcs/box are available, and colour or weight programs can be customised. See the disposable nitrile gloves range for the base product family, and the medical nitrile examination gloves page if your application is in a medical or examination channel.
Piece weight, net weight and carton gross weight are not the same thing
This is one of the most common sources of quotation confusion for buyers in Asia.
- Piece weight is the weight of one glove in grams. It is a specification of the glove itself.
- Net weight is the total weight of the gloves in a carton, excluding packaging.
- Carton gross weight is the total weight of the carton as shipped, including gloves, boxes, inner bags, labels and the outer carton.
Two suppliers can quote the same piece weight and still ship different carton gross weights because of box board, inner packaging and carton construction. Since freight is often charged on gross weight or volumetric weight, this difference can matter more than the unit price itself. Always ask for the carton gross weight and carton dimensions in writing.
What MOQ really depends on
MOQ is not a fixed company-wide number. It is set per program and depends on:
- Whether the specification is a standard running item or a custom colour, weight or texture program
- Whether custom artwork or private-label printing is required
- The size mix you need
- The packaging configuration
- Whether the order is a trial order or a repeat order
For a first enquiry, tell the supplier your target quantity, your size breakdown and whether you need custom branding. That lets them tell you the realistic MOQ for your specific program rather than a generic figure.
How to build a comparable quotation request
To get quotations you can actually compare across suppliers, put the following in your RFQ:
- Product: disposable nitrile gloves, and the intended application
- Length: 9-inch or 12-inch
- Piece weight target in grams
- Surface: smooth, textured or diamond-texture
- Colour
- Size mix and percentage split
- Pieces per box and boxes per carton
- Artwork requirements, if any
- Order quantity and whether it is a trial or repeat order
- Destination port or city in South Korea
- Incoterm
- Required documents for the destination market
With these twelve points fixed, quotations become directly comparable. Without them, you are comparing different products.
A note on certification marks in artwork
Logos or certification marks that appear in promotional artwork, catalogue images or box mock-ups are not proof of current certification. Certification status must be verified against current, valid documents for the exact product and the destination market. Always request the actual documents rather than relying on images.
Matching the glove to the task
Application fit should be decided against your actual task, not against a general claim. Food handling, cleaning, automotive and industrial applications each place different demands on material, texture, thickness and cuff length. A heavier diamond-texture glove behaves differently from a light smooth glove in grip, dexterity and fatigue over a shift. Compare the options against how the glove will actually be used, and confirm suitability with your own evaluation before committing to volume.
Next step
Send Junda your exact SKU requirement, target quantity, packaging configuration, destination in South Korea and preferred Incoterm. We will confirm the current packing list, carton measurements, gross weight, container loading and applicable documents, then issue a quotation against that defined package. That is the only way to establish a genuine lowest unit price for your program.
